I just saw a Tesco Compare (a new moneysupermarketesque site – for car loans) but weirdly the URL they promoted in the advert was to tesco.com not tescocompare.com.
I just thought that was a bit odd…

Yes this is very strange, I thought that maybe they would have a big link to the site on the front page, but it seems not.
On a similar note, I have just seen an advert for Ebay that has a real auction on it with live bid price as of 20 seconds ago… genius!
Really? On TV? That is pretty awesome!
This is amazing. I can’t believe big companies get stuff like this so wrong….
Have you seen the direct line adverts that boast about how you won’t find them on price comparison websites (because they are “middle-men”). I’m not sure that’s a benefit: so I can’t find out if you are better value than your competitors? Great!
Yeh I can’t for one second believe that the added trust (does that even exist?) from not being listed on price comparison sites equates to more customer acquisitions than if Direct Line was listed on price comparison sites.
I’m not surprised just because it’s TESCO ;D
